RECIPE PREPARATION Fasting green bean meal:

Remove the green beans to thaw. Peel and chop the onion, as well as the carrot. Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the onion and let it harden, then add the carrot. Put a little water and let it simmer so that the carrot softens. Add the green beans and water to boil. When the carrot is cooked, add the finely chopped garlic cloves and then the tomato paste. Match the taste of vegetables and pepper, let it boil for a few more minutes and sprinkle with green dill or finely chopped parsley, but I didn't have it and I left it like that.


Eating green bean meal

My favorite food from childhood, during the summer. We called them "pods." It was most often made in a cauldron on a ridge. The green beans were never boiled beforehand, but were put directly into the pot for cooking. Sometimes, to make the food more filling or when there were few beans, new potatoes were added. But I always preferred the simple version, only with garlic.

  • 1 kg of green bean pods
  • 1 onion
  • 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • salt

Green bean pods are chosen, the tips are broken. If you want, break the pods into 2-3 segments, I leave them whole. Wash well and allow to drain.

Heat the olive oil in a large bowl (for example, a wok pan), lightly frying the finely chopped onion.

Add the green bean pods, salt and pour 1 glass of water.

Leave on medium to low heat, stirring occasionally, until the beans are soft. It takes me about 30-35 minutes.

If necessary, add a little more water along the way. The point is, there's no juice left in the end. So if the beans are ready, but there is still liquid on the bottom of the pot, turn on the heat and leave without a lid, until the liquid evaporates.

When the green pod beans are done (it becomes flexible and is no longer crispy to taste), add the crushed garlic and turn off the heat.


MEAL OF PASTA BEANS

Bean meal, a simple, seasonal recipe, which I make very often during the summer and beyond. It is delicious eaten as such or as a side dish, it is prepared quickly and is very tasty.

You can choose bean pods which you like, it is important to be fresh, tender and crunchy.

  • 550 g pod beans (weighed after cleaning)
  • 3-4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 150 ml concentrated tomato juice (or 3-4 fresh tomatoes)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • fresh thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • dill

How to prepare bean meal

First we wash, clean and break the beans into pieces.

In a bowl heat the oil and heat the onion with a pinch of salt until it softens and becomes glassy. Add the pods and a cup of water (about 250 ml), a few sprigs of thyme, salt and pepper to taste. cover and simmer until the pods begin to soften, about 15 minutes.

Then add the tomato paste, crushed garlic and cook for another 10 minutes.

*If you use fresh tomatoes, peel them, finely chop them and add them to the food.

When ready, turn off the heat and add the chopped dill.

That's it! Simple, fast and tasty, good appetite!

Green Bean Food

Wash the beans and clean.

Green beans with tasty sauce - fasting recipe

ingredients

  • 500 g of green beans
  • 1 red
  • 1 onion

  • ½ teaspoon of curry powder
  • ½ teaspoon of paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Method of preparation

In this recipe you can use both fresh and frozen beans.

Wash the cases. If they are too long, you can cut them in half or smaller pieces, as you prefer.

Peel the onion and garlic and chop finely. Finely chop the tomato (you can just as well put it in a blender).

Prepare all the spices, to have them on the table at hand.

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Then add the mustard seeds. Put the lid on and harden them a little, until they stop jumping into the pan.

Then add the onion and garlic. Stir continuously so that it does not burn.

After 20 seconds, add the tomatoes and curry. Leave on the fire for 2 minutes, then add the green beans.

Pour in the coconut milk. Stir gently and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and replace.

Let the food boil for 20-30 minutes, or until the pods have tenderized and changed color.

Don't let them flutter. Add salt and mix gently.

Take the lid off and let the beans drop for another 10 minutes and become thicker, like a sauce.

Green beans with white sauce can be served on top with finely chopped parsley or green dill.

It is good with both bread and polenta. You can accompany it with a portion of potatoes or rice.
